With history, naturally!

Cycling the National Park

An 80km long cycle path is currently in development at the National Park. But a round tour of the National Park is also possible right now. A PDF document and a GPX tracker provide information about the route. The route forms an oval shape between Nonnweiler and Mörschied bei Herrstein. This new cycle path partly joins the cycle path in the Saar-Hunsrück nature park, the Hunsrück cycle path and the Rhineland-Palatine route.

The guiding principle of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park is to allow nature to be nature. Bearing this in mind, a circuit has been developed for you to discover Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park on two wheels. Experience the National Park on a cycling tour.

Birkenfeld, Hermeskeil, Herrstein, Idar-Oberstein, Morbach, Nohfelden, Nonnweiler, Rhaunen and Thalfang are the main tourist attractions in the National Park region.
